Ken Adams
Montana Shared Catalog Director
The Montana Shared Catalog Director is the Higher Power when it comes to the Montana Shared Catalog.
He somehow manages an expensive library
automation system and helps 80+ libraries in utilizing it. If you have questions about using the shared
catalog (especially administrative issues), please give the Montana Shared Catalog Director a call.
Donna Caban
Admin & Training Support
Donna is the one helping the LDD staff pull together materials for training and librarians.
She's also the queen of the library directory. If you can't find one of the consultants,
don't hesitate to give Donna a call. She'll try to track us down for you.
Tracy Cook
Statewide Technology Librarian
Tracy is Suzanne's willing partner in crime. She also happens to be the consultant for the
Broad Valleys and Tamarack Federation libraries. When she's not helping her library friends,
she's out hiking, skiing, and golfing. No worries though. She works hard and plays hard and will be there
when you need her. It's all about balance, right?
Jemma Hackbarth
Montana Shared Catalog Assistant
Jemma is the newest member of the LDD staff. She impressed us all with her vivaciousness and intelligence. She was formerly the knowledge architect at Biomimicry Guild in Helena. Jemma brings a wealth of knowledge to the Shared Catalog. Please don't hesitate to give her a call if you have questions or need help.
Sue Jackson
Continuing Education Coordinator
Sue is the woman behind Summer Institutes, Fall Workshops, and LSTA. She also takes care of other grants,
such as the PEEL scholarships and the Gates grants. Talk about having to be okay with lots of details and
looming deadlines! Sue handles it well, however. It must be her love of birds, canoeing, and the great outdoors
that keeps her sane. Call Sue when you have a question about certification or any large training events that
are coming up. Sue also acts as a backup for the consultants.
Sarah McHugh
Statewide Projects Librarian
Sarah decided to take on the challenges of coordinating statewide library projects and coming up with innovative new projects that will keep librarians hopping. When she's not finding creative new ways to serve customers, she's spending time with family, riding her bike or in the winter time skiing down hills. Call Sarah when you have a question about new pilot projects.
Lauren McMullen
Training Specialist
Lauren is the training lady. She is responsible for arranging various trainings around the state and will even
stop by your library for personal face-to-face training. How cool is that?! She's now gone 21st century on us
with the use of some cool techno toys that will let you stay at your library while learning something new.
Maggie Meredith
Statewide Technology Librarian
Maggie is the mischevious sweetheart of the three consultants. She's the lead guru for the Golden Plains and
Pathfinder Federation libraries. Give her a call if you need help with something. Or better yet stop by her
office for some old fashioned comfort and a little chocolate. Who doesn't need that these days?
Michael Price
Information Specialist
Mike Price is the techno-geek of the Library Development Division. His specialty is getting things done
(a refreshing thing in this day and age). His official job duties include helping out with the technical side
of the Montana Shared Catalog. It takes an amazing amount of code and a lot of stuff to keep the shared catalog
running, and Mike somehow manages to pull it off without acquiring a lot of grey hair!
Suzanne Reymer
Statewide Technology Librarian
Suzanne is the rebel of the division. She keeps us on our toes with her antics and insights into life in
library land. She's the main consultant for the Sagebrush and South Central Federation libraries. Suzanne has
her own challenges with a dog and four cats. They keep things lively at her house. Muffy
is particularly helpful in keeping Suzanne on her toes.
